Welcome to Trinity United Methodist Church
Trinity re-opened for on-site worship on Sunday, June 21, to say good-bye to our Pastor, Don Almond, who had served Trinity for thirteen and a half years. On July 5 we welcomed our new pastor, Changhyun Kim. He is a third year seminary student and a native of South Korea. He comes to us from Central Korean UMC in Overland Park, where he served as associate pastor. He and his wife Yeokyeong have moved to Leavenworth and are eager to serve Trinity and the Leavenworth community.
When Trinity re-opened we designated alternate pews for occupancy and are requiring congregants to wear masks and observe social distancing. We continue to have a traditional worship service at 10:45 am and welcome everyone.
Trinity UMC is a member of the Reconciling Ministries Network. We welcome and affirm all God's children regardless of race, gender identity, ethnicity, sexual orientation, economic circumstances, marital status, family structure, and physical or mental ability. We believe that everyone and everything God has created is of sacred worth, and we reject any actions or words - whether spoken, written or implied - that seek to diminish that worth in anyone or exclude them from providing or receiving ministry here. Trinity UMC embraces "Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors" to all God's children.
Worship services will be cancelled until further notice due to the pandemic.
